RHODE ISLAND TRAPSHOOTING ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS
Name 1) The name of this association is "Rhode Island Trapshooting Association", hereinafter "The Association".
Purpose 2) The purpose of The Association is to develop and promote the recreation of trapshooting in Rhode Island, and to sponsor, hold and conduct trapshooting contests and tournaments,

Nature 3) The Association shall be non-profit. No stock shall be issued and no dividend nor pecuniary benefit shall inure to any member.
Membership 4) Any club located in the State of Rhode Island desiring to be represented in the Association shall present written application signed by its President and Secretary, setting forth the name of the club, the date of its organization, the name of its officers, and the number of members in the club. The application shall be acted upon at the next meeting of the executive Committee.
Dues 5) The membership dues for an individual member shall be $15.00 for an adult, $5.00 for a junior. All dues shall be paid on or before the Annual Meeting, and if not paid within 30 days thereafter, the individual in arrears shall not be a member of The Association until the dues have been paid.
Officers 6) The officers of The Association shall be the President, first and second Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer and directors. The officers shall be elected at the annual meeting. The duly elected officers shall hold office until the next annual meeting until their successors are appointed.
The officers, ATA delegate, alternate delegate, and immediate past president shall form the executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall be responsible for the routine management of The Association. It shall appoint a successor to any officer not completing his/her term of office for any reason.

Duties 7) The President shall preside at all meetings of The Association. He/She may call a special meeting of The Association at any time, upon giving at least seven (7) days prior notice to each member.

The Secretary shall keep a record of all proceedings of The Association, collect dues, issue notices of meetings, and shall deliver to his successor the books, records and correspondence of The Association.
The Treasurer shall receive and hold the funds of The Association and distribute them as he/she may be authorized to do, by order of the Executive Committee. He/She shall keep an account of all monies received and distributed by him/her and shall report his/her receipts and disbursements at each meeting of the Executive Committee and of The Association. He/She shall deliver to his/her successor the books, records and finance data of The Association.

State Team 9) The state team target requirements are as follows:

Requirements Handicap 1200
Doubles 800
The High Average and High Overall Average requirements shall be as follows:

Men -- 2500
Women -- 2000
Handicap
Men -- 1500
Women -- 1000
Doubles
Men -- 1000
Women -- 500
For all of the above awards, all three Championship Events at the Rhode Island State Trap Shoot must be shot at. These awards are to be given annually to shooters meeting the above requirements.

Awards 10) The Association shall give the RITA Annual Recognition Award each year to the shooter chosen by the Executive Committee. A plaque for this award will be placed at Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club to be updated yearly. The recipient of this award will also receive the honor of the State Shoot dedication and a plaque to commemorate this honor.
Amendments 11) These by-laws may be amended by a majority vote of the Executive Committee.
